Again?!?

It seems like 90,000 patents (ok, I exaggerate... it's only 89,472) weren't enough for the folks at Amazon.com... they're applying for another one. On the surface, it seems like they're trying to patent web advertising in general, which would hardly work nowadays... then again, it is the US Patent Office we're talking about here.

If you actually read the patent application, though, not many people are going to be affected. The only one that I can think of is the search keyword bidding that Tucows has for developers that publish on that site (which I'd be one of, but I've hardly ever used that feature anyway).
