Sam Adams Beer Recalled
(well, perhaps not all of it, but a lot of it...)
As code signing certificates go, at least I managed to get the one that I really needed to get any work done, and that's the one for Symbian Signed. I'm now free to start working on that platform without any code signing headaches.
Verisign, on the other hand, appears to have its head buried firmly up its ass when it comes to the concept of small (one-person small) software companies. I don't know how much of that is Microsoft policy being imposed on them, but I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with it. There are those of us that can't afford to hire anyone full-time, but can easily afford a $350/year certificate, and they should realize that.
If they did the same when they were Symbian's CA of choice, then I'm glad that Symbian told them to pack up and go home. I don't know if that had anything to do with that decision, but it wouldn't surprise me.
Elsewhere in the good news department, though it's kind of debatable, is that my first quarter '08 income taxes are paid. That lets me off the hook for another 3 months.
Now, I'm back to waiting for info on my future vehicle. If this year is anything like the last one, it'll definitely be up by the 15th. It should then be available for ordering on the 17th, and hopefully I'll be able to put myself on the list for that first production run. I'll be going for the 4-cyl. option, myself... IMO, putting a V6 in a hybrid kind of defeats the purpose.
