I was doing some more upgrading on the video editing machine yesterday, when a friend came over for some help getting help with his unemployment benefits. He needed to interview me to be eligible for some kind of technical training classes, and we used to work together so I guess it needed to be someone with that kind of relation. Anyway, when he got here, I told him I was in the middle of "playing PC Frankenstein" (rebuilding the computer). He thought it was a game or something :-)
On another note, does anyone know of a place around here to get a plain sort of divider wall or screen? Wanting something fitting for a home (as opposed to an office cube wall sorta thing) to kind of separate the computer area in my room from the rest of it when I rearrange that room sometime in the near future. Some of that hardware is on 24/7 (hosting my domain, etc.) and, even though the noise isn't so bad (helps me fall asleep, actually), the couple dozen LEDs I could stand to be hidden from sight at night. If nothing else, I can get some plywood or MDF, rip it, and hinge it (again, I'm lacking in tools for that just yet).
The part that I'm not looking forward to with rearranging is moving that Bowflex... wheeee!
So far, though, the vacation is proving to be a good one. This weekend not being much different from any other, but it's going to be nice not to have to get up at 6:30 to get ready for work :-)
