Success!

Those who were keeping up with me last month will know about the troubles I had getting my PS2 online through my firewall. The Linux box I have for that apparently doesn't work the same way as some of the DSL routers out there that happen to work. I ended up having to shell out more cash to Time Warner to use it without the router.

Well, no longer. With a little bit of programming, I managed to get the PS2 going through the firewall flawlessly :-) What I have is far from perfect (there's a few more things I want to do to it before I call it finished), but at least it's working well enough for me to be able to call up Time Warner again tomorrow and deny them that little bit of income... *grin*

Once it's done, I'll probably open-source it and toss it up on my website. No doubt there are others out there with the same problem, and haven't the knowledge to come up with a solution yet.
